You and your Norton are the subject of a thread on IKBA, though there seems to be some dispute over who you actually are... ;)

European and Other Bikes / So, there I was...
« on: November 09, 2019, 11:54:41 AM »
..having a nice cuppa with the rest of the bike-riding old boys on Thursday when the conversation went around to "I hear Bob's got a new bike"
"what's that then?"
"He's got a Motobecane"
"Wot one of those horrible mopeds?"
"Nope, a 125 SV from just post-war, it doesn't run as it's not complete, and he got it from one of those French sellers at Kempton. Looks really nice though".
Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and keep schtum. This was one of those times. :-X

British Bikes / Coventry Eagle
« on: May 08, 2019, 06:37:35 PM »
There's a lot of knowledgeable blokes on here who know about pre-war Villiers-powered tiddlers, so anyone know about a Coventry Eagle "Super Sport" 1931 175c? Appears to be up-together and a runner, and although would probably struggle with the rice pudding skins it has a certain charm. Any thoughts?

The Classic Biker Bar / Very quiet on here....

...at the moment. Not  a "what's this bike grandpa is sitting on in this 1920 photo" or even a "where can I get a manual for this 1932 45cc Garlic-Sniffeur I've just been lucky enough to prise out of some Frenchman's ownership".
Must be all out riding, or something. ;)

European and Other Bikes / Monet Goyon
« on: November 08, 2010, 09:24:33 AM »
Anyone know any spares suppliers or good clubs to join for a new owner of a pre-war Monet Goyon ALS3?
Seems to be quite a lot of pics on the Web but not much info.
Any other Monet owners out there in VBF land....?

British Bikes / Tank sealant
« on: March 22, 2008, 05:12:15 PM »
Has anyone ever found a way to remove petrol/gas tank sealer?
One of my tanks has been done badly, so I need to remove it and redo it.
The local Dip'n'Strip place failed, as did NitroMors paint stripper, and I'm getting desperate!
