Well I'm about to start on an SP400. If you find anyway that does the decals let me know, all the usual suppliers don't do 'em.  :(

I know that prices match demand I understand the principles of supply an demand, if people are paying these prices then that's what they must be worth right?

My point is why are they overpriced on this site? I know the value of bikes as I go to many auctions and I am fully aware of prices certain bikes are fetching. I was merely asking are people actually getting the prices they are asking? The G5 for sale at 4,000 euros, are you sure? a messed about R100RS for 20,000 euros? Bikes can be had far cheaper elsewhere.

Why is it that the bikes advertised on this site are way way overpriced? Are people really that optimistic?

Perhaps it was because you were in Italy and France?

You're just trying to con people into registering, you can't see what the site's about. You can't expect people to fall for that one!!!!! >:(

Identify these bikes! / Re: Need some help please

Well sorry old thing but this is identical to a Matchless T/3 or T/4 in every respect (except the mudgaurd stay of course). But ho hum.  :P

The Matchless V/2 was an overhead valve 495cc bike. The bike in the picture looks like the sidvalve T/3 (347cc) or T4 (498cc). These were first shown in November 1928 for the 1929 Matchless range. This looks correct although appears to be missing a front mudgaurd stay.

If the lady in the picture is your Grandmother she must have loved your Grandfather a great deal to stay with him, she appears to be sitting on the rear rack without a seat!  :o

Identify these bikes! / Re: Jack sport mistery bike

Jack Sport motorcycles were built in France using 350 and 500cc JAP engines between 1927 and 1931, sorry I don't know much more. Lovely rare bike, you've got some research to do there!  :)

Autolube is the name Yamaha gave to their petrol/oil mixing system on their 2 strokes, this not the name of a model. You will need to find the model name.

I recently purchased a 73 TX750 and have been finding a lack of information on this machine. I am aware that the Omi-phase cam at high rpm will froth the oil and can lead to engine failure...Does anyone have a fix to this? Well any information would be great.. oh names Michael and from Iowa (USA)

Sorry Michael but the best way to cure this problem is to sell it. They're a nice looking bike and a good idea but you'll have nothing but hassle.  :(

Japanese Bikes / Re: What was your first Japanese Motorcycle
« on: March 20, 2007, 05:35:02 PM »
My first Jap bike was, of course, a FS1E. It was gold in colour and bought for £40 when I was fifteen. I resprayed the frame, tidied it up and MOT'd it ready for my sixteenth birthday.

Kept it for a year even went to the Lake District on it from Hertfordshire; never had a problem with it.  ;D
