Hi bomber, thanks for your message, the original tank mounts have been ground off but i am pretty sure they were circular on the tank and cup shaped on the frame of the motorcycle, if you get what i mean, rather than the way you describe it the other way round, i think?? i'll attach a picture of the underside of the tank, you can see the grind marks at the front of the tunnel, and the twin taps, was the honda tank a twin tap?

yeah, i bet it was expensive when new, it looks quite well made, I seen a TZ250 tank on ebay that looked similar but not the same, no pressed marks, I dont know, any information on this will be great as i have it on ebay just now, but might remove it till i find out more about it.  Thanks for your message anyway Rex, thanks, Dave.

Hmm... possibly, i'll have a look at Enfields on Google, I thought they might have been where rubber knee pads may have been, I have seen this on some old tanks but I dont know, but I will keep looking, thanks for your reply, this is my first forum question, it took me a bit long to work out how to post messages but getting the hang of it now. Thanks again, Dave.

I have searched google and cant find this tank anywhere, does anyone know what bike it is off? I think its possibly off something british? it had twin taps but they have been blocked and another one added and the mounts have been tampered with, I have pictures of the underside if thats any help, I can put them on if it will help identify the tank.  I have to use Dial-up so it could take a while but will if needed, any help will be much appreciated, Thanks.
