Friend has a pursang 360 and will not start. Compression is not good. Can push kick start with hand. Any suggestions?

British Bikes / Installing Boyer ignitions

I decided to install a boyer ignition system Mark III on my 1969 TR6R 650. I have 2 questions. Do I need to reconnect the condensers? The directions say nothing about this so I didn't reconnect. Next I need help setting the engine to the fully advanced setting. I believe it is 38 degrees btdc. Don't own a plunger tool. Can I set this another way? Thanks for any input.

I own a 1969 TR6R Tiger and want to stop the oil leaks. Any ideas?
