Hi, just bought a BSA scooter with no documents, i have read where the frame & engine numbers usually are on BSAs of this age but have so far been unable to find them.
Can anyone please point me to the exact position of them please?

Japanese Bikes / Suzuki G bikes from the 70s

I've just passed my test so am now looking at a big old bike, i always loved the style of the 70s Suzuki's.
I would like something like a GT500, GS750 or anything that is a nice upright bike if its a custom model even better.
Am i likely to get much worth buying for under £1000 & is there anything i should watch out for when looking?

British Bikes / BSA Sunbeam scooter carb
« on: July 01, 2007, 06:49:22 AM »
Hi, i have a problem with the carb on my bike, i can get it to run a couple of revs by throwing fuel at the air intake but it wont run beyond that. I have taken the carb apart a couple of times & cleaned it to no avail.
Any ideas?
It has not run in years but i flushed out the old fuel & made sure new fuel is being delivered.

British Bikes / BSA Sunbeam carb settings
« on: September 30, 2006, 08:03:01 PM »
Hi, just bought a 175 two stroke BSA scooter 1959 to 1964 (not sure exactly yet).
Just got it to fire but it is popping & dieing when started, i get maybe two or three revs out of it then it dies.
Anyone know what the two adjusting screws should be set to on the carb?
The what looks like air screw is currently on two & a half turns out & the bottom screw/nut  (fuel flow???) is at no particular setting at all.
