BSA 350 sloper

Hi

Advice wanted I have just started to rebuild my 350cc slopper engine 1929 vintage I'm not to sure as to what to use as a joint compound between the two crank cases I have made a paper gasket but I'm also thinking of also using a purpose silicone joint compund which would give me some degree of flexability any one got any comments on how good this compound is

I no longer use paper gaskets and find that the silicone gasket compound on its own is better.

Ive never found a need to use a solid gasket for crankcase halves.  "Gasket Goo" or your english equivalent should do the job well enough
