unknown reflector/marker light, possibly sidecar??

Hi guys,
Anyone have any idea what bike this reflector/marker light came off?? Could it possibly be from a sidecar?

It looks  like an accessory by a firm like Britax, possibly the same basic casting as a clip on the car window parking light from the 60s. Is there a place for a white lens on the other side?

Hi Wink, yes it has a white lens on the other side. I spoke to a bike guy on a stall at a show and he thought it maybe from a sidecar but you think it may be from a car?? Interesting!!

On the bottom where it is standing might be a 5/ 16th whitworth threaded hole where a U shaped  chrome bracket would be. You wind down the window of your car and wind it up to trap the clip over the glass and the twin flex which you plug into the cigar lighter.  Made obsolete by a law stating you may park without lights in a 30 limit ( on the nearside of the road ) and on a road above 30 you need all sidelights on.
I´ve probably got one downstairs.

Thanks Wink, yes it has the 2 threaded holes. Was it specific to a certain car? I'm thinking of putting it on eBay but I needed more details which you have given me

I've now seen one very similar on eBay with the clip fitted!!
