Honda 100

I have a Honda 100 two stroke  in relatively good condition that has been sitting in my garage for the last 28 odd years.
 It is "X" reg ( 1981?)

The millage is 15000. It will need new tyres and battery. My question is :- Is it worth spending the money on  tyres and battery MOT etc or should I just sell it "as is"  . I appreciate it is not worth a lot but it would make a good run around.

Maybe it would, if the buyer paid next to nothing for it and fitted cheap tyres and a battery himself, but those days seem to largely be over. If some young kid bought it then paid someone to fit new tyres and a battery (plus whatever else it needs cleaning/adjusting and renovating after this long out of action) he may as well have paid for a runner in the first place.
 I have to agree that it's not worth your time and effort doing any work on it, flog it for whatever it makes as is.
{Is it an H100? Never that great when current if I recall}

Thanks for the reply's. Yes I think it is a H100. It used to go OK . I bought it for my daughter but motor cycles were not really here cup of tea! and to think I have stored it for 30 years!!! Ahaaaaaaaa.!!!

I will put it on Ebay for £50 for spares or repair and see what happens.

Out of interest I had a second hand  AJS 500 single in the 1960's and paid £15 for it, if only I had kept it! happy days.

put it on as auction not buy it now, theres always someone out there that loves this sort of thing, the Honda step though mob seem to delight in old tat for one.

That's a good idea. Once barn finds had a hen sitting on top and some hay hanging off them, now an alleged barn find is often pictured in a suburban street...
