Bonneville t120 camshaft

Can anyone please tell me does the camshaft rotate clockwise or anti clockwise. As I am trying to set up boyer micro digital ignition.

Also in the concentric carb is the chock on when the choke is down or up. Hope this is clear enough :-[

You don,t say which camshaft, but anyway they both rotate clockwise. As for the choke, it is on when it is down ie, it enrichens the mixture by shutting off some of the air supply.

= Clockwise. Watch the direction the end of the camshaft or Boyer rotor turns as you turn the engine over in the normal direction (with the kick starter, for instance).

For Amal Concentric Mk1 carbs, (presumably there are two?) if the choke slides are in the DOWN position, that is choke ON, so the choke cables will be in the slack condition. Operating the choke lever to pull the choke wires tight moves the choke slides to choke OFF.

When i had a 1967 Bonneville T120 650, i never had choke slides in the concentric carbs. I just tickled the carbs and it fired up, and exactly the same with my Triton and BSA Rocket 3, no chokes and no problems firing up.
