Francis Barnett chrome tank

Can anyone help with some information on a, 1965 Francis Barnett Falcon?
I've a friend who has owned the one in the picture from new, I have seen a couple of these bikes over the years at shows, although we have never seen one with a chrome tank.
The bike was sold by Fowlers of Bristol in the 60's and the chrome tank was as standard?
Your help would help us resolve a age old conversation which has been going on for years.
