Convert CD175K4 Drum's to Disc's?
« on: October 08, 2007, 03:47:13 AM »
Hi all, I'm currently rebuilding a Honda CD175K4 that has been stood for around 25 years, and while I'm rebuilding it, I've been thinking about some modifications to do to the bike.

One of the things that has crossed my mind, is if it is possible  for me to convert the brakes from drum, to disc?

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

yep you need the forks from another bike as well as the wheel along with the disc and caliper and master cylinder
something like this

not really in the style of the bike though
or the cb250g5 front end

they still had wire wheels but had a front disc, (a very crap one)

Hi,
If you can get a CB200 front end, I would think the forks etc would fit straight in though as I recall CB200s weren't that clever in the in the front brake department, though possibly better than drums.
