Honda cm250 front disc convertion

just wondering if cb250 front forks and brakes can be fited to a cm250. I would like to up grade from drum brake front end if possible?Tricky Trev

i'd say that it would be a straight swap,
the measurements on my cb250 are
fork distance apart 175 center to center
length from the top of the fork to the center of the axle is 690mm
the fork width is 32mm
thats for a g5, the super dreams may be different, but i doubt it :D
if the width is different then buy the top and bottom yokes as well and swap the whole front end :D

Thank you but after measuring the forks mine are 750mm from axle to top of the fork. my have a slight hieght problem but I will look into it anyway. Thank you on your speedy replie to my fix Tricky Trev  :)

Hi,
If your CM's fork legs are the same distance apart as the CB's and the stanchions are the same diameter you might be able to just remove the CB's stanchions and fit the CM's longer stanchions in their place. Thus you will have the standard fork length but with a disc set-up at the end. I have no knowledge as to whether this can be done but if your stanchions are identical to a CB's except for the length then that is the only/cheapest way I can see to do it.

Thank you hadn't tought about that I'll give it a go just souring a cb front end at the momment I'll let you know some time as soons as I have tryed it. Tricky Trev :)
