BMW R65 Tank Cover
« on: October 16, 2008, 02:47:35 PM »
Hello: I 've had a look around the European Bike forums and haven't been able to find anything about where I could find a tank cover that would cover the whole tank on an 1986 BMW R65 tank cover.

I had one for the bike that I bought back in 1986, it got torn, and am now looking for a replacement.

I've had a look around the internet and haven't come up with anything concrete from any sites that I've visited and made contact with. Even from one or 2 from Germany.

Wanting to know if anyone would have any ideas where else I might try.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Yes. I have.

Quite a few times in fact. Most of what I found there are tank bags for the more modern Japanese crotch-rocket type bikes.

Nothing there for the older German bikes.

I've gone to Bobs BMW somewhere down in the states. Nothing there either.

Thanks thunderbird for the link. I'll go and have a look at the site and maybe contact some of the staff there and see if they would have anything.

I know that there has to be something available somewhere on the internet. Its a big world.

Thanks again for the link. I'll go and have a look.
