Hi my name is Peter Maier, I live in a small towwn in Australia called Exmouth. I am from German Background, my parents migrated in 1958 from Heidleberg. My father had a BMW in the early 50s in Germany, he was probaly the 1st person to build an extra large tank for his BMW,i have photos. I have just bought a BMW R60/5 1970 Model that was bought from France 10 years ago by a British Gentleman in Perth Western Australia. It was a French Police Bike. I would like to take it back to original, but are mising a few parts, if anyone could help it aould be much apriciated. The parts that i need are headlamp assembly with guages, handlebars, seat, rear pegs, tank toolbox knob,indicators. This would get me started, the bike has matcthing frame and engine numbers, so i thought that keeping it original would be better.
