What year is it?

I bought an old Triumph from Burma and the looking for information on the year. The Frame is TL 57724 and the engine is 3 HW 57724. Any help please. Thanks

Your bike is a 350cc OHV WD production from WWII. It may be possible to find out the exact date it was made from WD contract info but generally speaking it's like the old WD BSA M20. They arrived at a standard WD specification and built to that regardless of exactly what year it was. Nevertheless there can be a lot of minor variations caused by wartime shortages. These variations don't alter the overall bike but can be a puzzle at times.

3HW 57724 dates from 1944. It was one of December 1943 contract S5340 for 4,000 such models.  They were delivered to Littlewoods at Liverpool and Mars at Slough between June and October 1944. Their allocated WD serial numbers were 5566918 to 5570917.
