Hi All you Old Classic Boys and Girls.
Can anyone hep me with my Gold Star problem.
The timing keeps slipping. The problem seems to be with the timing pinion on the mag. It has a taper on it. would it do me any good to heat the pinion before fitting. This would allow it to go further onto the shaft. Help Please....
I am from Perth W. Australia
Thanks
Terry

no don't heat it up,you need to lap both surfaces together using grinding paste,as you would valves, once both surfaces have been eliminated of high spots you should not have any more probs.Good luck.
