« on: November 11, 2006, 05:18:49 PM »
I have 2 question hopefully someone can answer?
1) what was the name of the first shaftdriven motorcycle I believe it was manufactured around 1926 but did not stay in production.
2) There was a bike produced with twin wheels on the rear I think there is one in the motorcycle museum does anyone recall the name?

BMW manufactured shaft drive motorcycles from 1923 (the R32 model) and have continued to make shaft drive motorcycles ever since, although I doubt the R32 was the 'first' shaft drive motorcycle.

That is probably the Brough Superior Austin 7 engined model.
