Norton model 18

 Needing help if poss.My dad would like to try and find is fathers old norton model 18.He  has the reg number and approx year of use.how can i find out what has happened to the plate and bike?. He is pretty sure that he cannot get the original bike but would like to purchase a Norton Model 18, approx 1930's.Has anyone got one they have thought about selling or know of any for sale

Use the DVLA website: http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/?SKIN=directgov 'Vehicle Enquiry' section.

Enter the registration number and make, and see if there is any information on that particular machine?

If not (and there is a good chance there won't be any) then that particular vehicle may not have existed for quite some time?
