It would help to know where you live on the planet David? UK? USA? elsewhere? in order to recommend where you could get parts.

It really does help if people can say where they live if they need information on getting parts etc.?

thanks for answering.
i live in italy.... the worst place to find UK parts....
but beside finding parts i need to find info about
how was the bike when left the factory .
for example, i have the book "triumph twin restoration",
great book with a lot of info, but there are some things
that might indicate that maybe my bike is not thunderbird ... like front fender and some small things,
so i have been looking for hours on google for any info
and photos of Thunderbird 650 1965 6T ...but nothing
as if this bike dose not exist
