Francis Barnett Autocycle 98cc 1939/40
« on: November 06, 2008, 08:53:32 PM »
Hoping someone can help me - or rather my dad who is vintage bike mad.  He is termianlly ill and has been working on a project which I'm sure is keeping him going. He's been restoring a 1939 (1940 released) Francis Barnett Autocycle 98cc.  He had sent the frame and various bits off to a company in England to shotblast and rechrome etc for him and the courier returning it has lost it.  He is devistated to say the least and I am now scouring the country looking for something similar.
I stumbled across this site whilst trawling the net, please can anyone help me find one, or point me in the right direction. Thanks, Nicola

PS This is a genuine request and not a scam.

Have you tried the Francis Barnett Owners Club, or the NACC?

Hello

Just thought I'd let you all know that the bits were found.  A bit scratched and a little worse for wear but found none the less.

Police are investigating and Dad is over the moon.

Thank you to all that passed on info and replies.

Nicola :)
