Hi, can anybody tell me when Triumph changed from white metal to shell big end bearings on the 500cc engines. is there any external marking on the engine to show the change, is there an engine number noted when the change took place ?

1956 (Aug 55) and engine number 70930, but I bet there's engines after that still with white metal bearings.
