lost vehicle registration document
« on: November 06, 2006, 06:00:38 PM »
Hi all

I have a BSA B33 motorcycle which my uncle imported from England. Now I'd like to get for the motorcycle Swiss registration and number plate. The technical check at the Swiss Department of Transport was no problem. Now Swiss Department of Transport wants a vehicle registration document from the former owner in England. Problem is that my uncle imported the motorcycle quite a while ago and the company he bought the motorcycle from doesn't exist anymore and unfortunately my uncle can't find the documents anymore. My question: is there a central register from the English Department of Transport where I can get a copy of the former registration document?

Cheers Lukas

You need to contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA):http://www.dvla.gov.uk/

Thx very much for information. I got a reply from DVLA. The problem is that I just have the framenumber but no british registration mark. So DVLA cannot find the motorcycle in the database without registration mark. Where can I get some information/ documents about the motorcycle based on the framenumber?
