I stopped looking into the bathroom mirror a long time ago.
It's just too bloody depressing.....

Cheers

Good advice and interesting opinion is great no matter where it comes from!

I am not a dealer but I have bought, restored, traded and sold bikes making the ocasional profit to plough back in to buying the next one for over 30 years.

What does that make me........ polite answers only

Yes quite right, however I am sure your sole reason for buying bikes is not profit. We are driven by a keen interest in old motorcycles and the urge to learn how to do new stuff (I was never trained as an engineer or a mechanic for that matter) and that magical moment when you breathe life into what was a pile of rusting bits is on a par with sex! (well it often lasts longer at least). I'm all for trading and selling unwanted bikes, but there is something that sets us apart from another who looks at a bike with nothing but pound signs in their eyes.

I started off with my FS1E when i left school  GPV 777N, had to sell that to buy a LC 250 Yamaha and then brought my first Honda CBX six . At that age i always lost money on buying and selling bikes bikes but never gave the money a second thought .
If i sell now i may well make money or break even but it's only a bonus if that happens not why i ride bikes .
