Norman color....
« on: July 28, 2012, 06:57:03 PM »
Hi All,
I have a Norman B2 from 1955 and the petrol tank originally came chrome; the chrome is still on it, but the tank has too much rust to rechrome. So I know Norman B2's also came in a red, which is what I am looking to paint it. Can anyone tell me what color that relates to in the modern paints? Is there a particular car color that is the same?

Thanks in advance for your assistance with this..

Hi Zach,

I can only suggest you contact the Norman Motorcycle Club on www.normanmotorcycles.org.uk , they should be able to help.

Cheers,

PS Did they still fit their own make front forks in 1955 or had they changed to Armstrongs by then?

33d6.....thanks.....will do. They by that time had started with the Armstrong,forks.....my bike is in fact a B2S model for 1955.... and for the Bermuda market they sleeved it down to a 150cc from the 197cc....this was to meet the regulations in Bermuda at the time.
