DB31 crankcases

Hi guys; can anyone advise please.
A mate of mine has just rang me looking for a 7\8w tap. Claims its for a mates DB31 crankcases. It sounds to me like the sump plug; but thats a lot bigger than the sump plug on mine. Is there a thread that size on the crank cases? :)
