Scott Squirrel remembered
« on: August 26, 2006, 05:32:04 AM »
When I was a teenager (late50s - early 60s) my girlfriend's brother had an amazing bike. It was, I think, a Scott Squirrel engine in a Velocette frame. I have never heard such a noise!

Does anyone know anything about these bikes - there were (at least) 2 custom made for him and his buddy - somewher in the North East of UK.

I think the engine was 650cc water cooled 2 stroke but I could be wrong.

I would be pleased to hear any information about these amazing bikes

Hello,

They were 600's water cooled made by scott with red barrels. Scott went out of business in 1955 but tried again in 1957 when Colin Silk tock over after in 58

They are about £4000 to buy now in good condition.

The frame may of been a pantha or their own. Unless it had the air forks. It depends upon who you talk to.

Try Sammey millers as he is the best one to speak to.

Try this link. It is the Scotts owners club and links to much information.

I have a 1926 Scott TT model.
