Help with identification

Can anyone help identify this machine please?
It was photographed with the cool canine in Bredwardine, Herefordshire, after 1903/4 when number plates came in, possibly around 1907

Love the dog in goggles! Do you know his name?

The bike is a c1904 Kerry, which was marketed in the UK by the East London Rubber Company. A good deal of the bike - perhaps all - was produced by the Belgian concern Sarolea. In 1903, the engine leaned forward in the frame. The attached advert is from The Motor in May 1904.

I can't help with the dog's name yet, but it appears several times in the scrap book pages we are looking at in our History Group here.
The man might be Chaplin Court Treatt who completed a journey from Cape Town to Cairo in Crossley light trucks in 1924-26 - quite a trip - see http://www.crossley-motors.org.uk/history/1920/court_treatt/cape_cairo_index.html

Thanks for the link - the Chaplin Court Treatt story is a ripping yarn, and not unlike our early cross-country motoring here in Australia.
