ZB or D handlebars

Looking at old photographs from ~1949-1954 'ish and a few actual bikes I
have seen at events it seems many owners fitted their Goldstar 350's with
Clubman or ace type bars rather than clip-ons. These bars seem to have very shallow drop and minimal pull back

I have been looking for such a set of clubman bars with minimal pullback and drop - not an easy search- and the Unity Equipe ones, especially the Junior set look like the job but the only reference I have is their catalog which has a limited view photo and no measurements.

Do any of you have a set of Unity Equipe Junior or Senior Ace bars? If so do you have a photo of them on 60's bike, preferably a BSA?

...or do you have another source for minimal pull back and drop clubman
bars?

I would call George Prew, he has most things and will be able to advise you.  Real Goldie Clip on had the mounds for the levers welded to them.

Hi there,

I have fitted semi drop bars off of a Velocette Viper.
Compared to ace bars they are much flatter and give a good riding position, i.e. not to extreme. They also make the bike look pretty good, as ace bars came out a little latter really. My bike is a ZB32 GS fron 1949.

I'll definitely go look for the Velocette Viper bars.

I guess I'll also drop George Prew a snail mail, phoning on spec can be a little expensive from Texas.  Although I still have no idea who he is, is he a dealer, restorer or just a known subject matter expert?

George Prew is one of the better known Goldie dealers in the UK, he has a huge stock of Goldie stuff, and keeps parts for the more obsure Goldies, like Trials and Scrambles models.

If you don't have any luck let me know through the board and i will let you have Flinty's and Roys numbers as well.

Hi, I swa your post and I am looking for some similar bars. having any luck? Where in Texas are you? I am a Texas native that just moved to Norway. I had a hotrod and cycle shop in Houston for years but grew up around Austin.

I purchased a pair of these bars from Domi Racer in Cincinnati, OH.  The levers are welded straight to the bars.  I haven't used these bars so I can't vouch for riding position.
