i have two fj1100s , an 84 and an 85 . they are pretty quick but the brakes are just not nearly up to the job and the vented discs cause the fluid to boil under heavy braking . not for the faint hearted if ridden hard .

for me one to cross off the list ( to old ) , it would be difficult to ride hard unless in a straight line and every mile slam the brakes on , the suspention is far to soft for a machine of this weight and power , plenty of room two up but that would make braking worse .

hagon progressive springs help the diving a lot , the antidive on the 1100s does not seem to do a lot .  the fj have the same engine as the xjr 1200 and 1300 albeit with different bores and pistons . i have an xjr also. good bikes for a bit of two up work and they have great brakes .
