Can anyone help me. I have a 1954 6T with sprung hub. The bike has been off the road for a lengthy period but is now MoT's and ready to go. Everything is fine except for the rear suspension. This manifests itself as the drive chain becomes taught. When the rear wheel nuts are slackened, the chain then restores to its correct tension. Wheel nuts duly re-tightened and tension is still OK. Lift the bike a few inches and drop the bike on the rear wheel and the chain is tight again. Any advice on what may be causing this?
