Honda 350K4

Hello,
A friend of mine is building a 350K4 for classic racing and has recently heard of people who have experienced crankshaft failures.
So that he can do everything possible to avoid this failure himself, can anyone out there who has experienced this problem shed any light as to the type of failure and the possible reason(s) for it?
Thanks a lot fellas.

Sorry I can not be specific as to your 350, but normal crankshaft preparation of crack detection (x ray, magnaflux, etc), balance and surface finishing should help.
