Rudge front forks 1930s

Rudge front forks, looking at my latest project. the fork blades have cups attached above and below bottom links , I can only guess that this is some sort of travel limitation device maybe bump stops . Can anyone shed any light as to what should fit here as the cups are blind?

All (?) Rudge forks used one-piece shackles, so there are not links as such on the forks themselves. I'd be very surprised if the "cups" had anything to do with limiting travel, but a photo would help.

Sorry - I'm only familiar with the earlier D-section forks. The guys at www.rudge-whitworth.com are the experts for Rudge things - they have an excellent discussion forum.
