LUCAS S 51 HEADLAMP , BRASS .

Hello , I have just brought an old brass Lucas headlight bowl clearly marked S 51 . Made for a motorcycle but I cannot find out which one , it looks similar to the  H 52 fitted to Scott motorcycles front the mid 20s or possibly Brough ? Any help would be very welcome .

Lucas S51  was used on the 1930 Matchless Silver Arrow.
I'm sure there will be others...

I've spent a long time on google and failed to find that but now after typing in silver arrow I managed to verify that , great stuff and thank you .
Shame you're not in my local as I'd have brought you a pint for that info .

Found your post regarding the S51 headlamp.

I'm currently restoring a Matchless Silver Hawk and i'm looking for an S51 headlamp.
Not sure if you have any plans for the bowl you found?

My Hawk is some way along now, with the gearbox, frame, forks  complete and the engine close to rebuilt.
I'm starting to begin the wiring and have found most of the gauges, switches etc, but i'm missing the correct headlamp.
