'70 Tr6R Project

    Hi all,
This is my first post and also my first Triumph project bike. I recently purchased  1970 Tr6R (or parts of one anyway) and I need help. The engine is missing the cylinders, head, and rockers. The other day I came across the same parts but from a 750 trident of the same year. I need to know if there is anyway that this could be applied to my aplication and if so what are the necessary modifications that need to be made before i can proceed.

A Trident is a 3 cylinder machine.

ok thanks the guy that had the parts for sale must have been mistaken when he told me what it was than because it was a two cylinder that he showed me. Ill have to go back and ask someone else about it. Thanks again

Good luck with the TR6, I started a TR6P project over a year ago (also 1970) and still working on it! Have had some good advice from this site.  You have some expensive parts missing.  Recently on ebay there were several sets of 650 barrels and pistons, havn't seen a cylinder head for a while but would probably go for well over £200 or so for something reasonable.  Never seen rocker boxes. I'm a bit of a novice but I think you need to be careful of the number of studs, mine is a 9 stud head.  I'm pretty sure that all TR6 engines were single carb so that's quite an obvious thing to check with the head.

thanks for the info Joe. I'll check out those sites and see what i can find, also I just found a shop in town that specializes in Triumphs and BSA so I'll have too go by there and see what hes got. Thanks again and good luck with your project.
