I'm working to get a 1968 Lightning with points running. I don't have the special tool that locks into the flywheel to hold the engine at the right point to set advance timing. I would use a degree wheel to accomplish that but don't know what degree setting to use.
The full advance setting is 34 deg btdc but I don't know if this is the place to set the engine for static timing. (For Triumphs you take full advance and subtract 2 times the number stamped on back of the aau)
I will use a strobe once I get it going.
