That pressing and welding underneath looks better than yer average remake.
Could be original Triumph... ?

Dunno about that. As I posted in the other thread look at the tank mounts and their fixing. These are crudely made and fixed.
IIRC weren't the earlier Triumph mountings brazed on rather than welded?

The welding on the main pressing edges is excellent but the mounts are poor. They are over recesses so it is possible the original fixings were expanding rubbers?

more than likely, considering the age of it, that these tanks mounts were replaced because the originals, as is so often the case had stripped threads or some twerp pushed a bolt through the bottom of the tank?
