1911 Indian motor measurments
« on: March 20, 2020, 04:40:31 AM »
Hi..New here.  Need some information if anyone can help. My sister bought an old house recently. We were cleaning out a garage on the property and I ran across most of an old cycle frame. There was an old tag that said 1911 Indian single..I like to tinker since I retired so I figured this might be a good project. I do aluminum casting and thought it might be fun to reproduce a faux motor.  The rest of the frame is no problem to make up (lots of pics and measurements online)  My problem is finding dimensions for the motor. Crank case, cylinder height, etc.   I've built a few bikes over the years and this just looked like a good project..Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated..Thanks......

1911 was the year of the belt drive (option) single, wasn't it ?

That is going to require the cooperation of someone who has this model,
and, furthermore, likely someone who currently has this model in pieces !

I can think of a few maybe 15 or 20 years ago, but these days ??
Like on a USA forum, perhaps. ?
Someone local had something similar, but old age (his !) made him succumb to selling it to a suitably massive offer.

Good Luck !

Your best bet would be to try the VirtualIndian group. They have lots of older bikes there. Google should find it.
