Bsa / Triumph 4 spring clutch conversion

Hi
Has anyone done a bsa / triumph 4 spring clutch conversion. I brought one from Len Haggis but im having problems.
Do you need to use any of the Bsa clutch parts?.
This is the first clutch ive ever done so i want to make sure im doing it correctly.

I've not done this but it should be fairly straightforward. You obviously need the special centre to mate the clutch to the BSA gearbox shaft and you may find the pushrod needs to be a different length. On the BSA clutch the number of plates varies according to the application so the same may be true with the Triumph but I would not think it a good idea to fit any of the BSA plates.

Hi there
I fitted the clutch at the weekend and with all the 4 screws tighten right in the lever has no effect or feel at all, the gearbox is a bsa RRT 2 goldstar type. How do i adjust this problem and which is the correct way?

as fidobsa suggests the pushrod length is probably wrong check it out. often i increase the length by cutting the original in half and add ball bearings in between halves until correct length is attained. douglas
