Electronic ignition - ammeter connections
« on: December 08, 2023, 04:22:53 PM »
howdy all,
I'm putting a (lighting) electronic ignition kit onto my Sun, it was wired as a rectified circuit.  The wiring diagram that comes with the kit doesnt mention where the ammeter hooks up - does anyone know where I wire this into.
The diagrams I'm working to are as attached

At it's most simplistic I'd connect it in the red between the unit and the battery.

At least there it would tell you if the battery was charging or discharging, which is probably what you want to know?

That's great, thanks both for that, a location and yes an indication of battery charging is I guess the best use for the ammeter.

Thanks
