My name’s Grzegorz and I’m from Poland. Four years ago I got an old RALEIGH motorbike. It was incomplete. I have about 70% of its parts now and I am assembling them all. However I have lots of trouble getting any parts in Poland. My bike dates probably 1931 or 1930 with an engine 248 cm3 or 298 cm3. I have no documentation or manual of Raleigh motorbikes. I don't know of anybody owning one.
      
I wish owners and fans of Raleigh motorbikes would help me identify the exact model and year, as well as sell or let use their documentation and any info about this model.
      
I would like to purchase the missing parts of my model, that is a fuel tank, a rear mudguard, wheels - front and rear, a carburettor, a luggage carrier.
      
I am interested in any technical info about Raleigh motorbikes. All fans of Raleigh motorbikes help me please.

Hi Grzegorz,
The engine number is for a 1930 298cc Raleigh but the frame number is the more important for an accurate date.
The Vintage Motor Cycle Club in England lists the owners handbook and spareparts list for your model plus a 1930 catalogue. They also have other relevant Raleigh literature from 1930 also.
You can access their Library on line at www.vmcc.net and you don't have to be a member to get copies from them.
