Hello!
I am a norvegian who is a proud owner of a -59 Triumph 6T engine number D19867 but no matching numbers. It has Morgo kit cylinder and oil pump,belt drive 25mm and twin Delorto carbs and alu cylinder head.
It didnt run when I bought it so I overhauled the magneto and look over pump and chanced the oil seal behind the cam-cover.
But there are two things that is not wright.
When I tried to align the timing pinions on the camshaft the piston touch the valves. I looked in the Haynes manual when i did it but can not find something wrong. I have owned many Triumphs befor but 20 years ago. I looked at the marks and they are right.
I may think that the cams are from an younger engine maby Bonneville or soo.
Can anybody out there help me.
The other thing I need help with is that with belt on the
primary the cluth is to wide. Do anybody now of anybody who make the distanse peac for the cover.
My english is Im afraid not so good but I understand it perfect.
