Hi Beema,

I have a 1929 Marston Sunbeam Model 1 for sale in case you know of anyone interested in purchasing one.

The bike is in v good condition and has been used frequently.  I have not advertised it anywhere else at the moment as I have only just made the decision to part with it.  It is taking up space that I need for other Bikes!

Regards

Hi Beama. After all this time... I have another question if I may. You were spot on with the numbers cc date etc. It is an A23 1938 250cc model 14. We are now at the point where we need to source valve springs and I was wondering if you had any suggestions. Thanks, Jeff

hello lads, this is my first attempt at this site... looks very interesting. i am restoring a '36 mod 9, '31 mod 9, and soon starting on a '35 mod 9. i know enough about 'beams to be dangerous, but  i wish to know if anyone knows why in the rockerbox of the mod 9 there is a 3/8" spring and at the end a ball bearing the front is situated with a slotted adjusting screw with an orfice. we know that the small #55 jet floods the gallery with oil that gravitates to the guides, the exess returns down via the tubes onto the cam gear. so why the ballcheck?? there's no pressure?? also, if one fits a Mikuni to a mod 9, it will preform like a stratovarius!.

HI LEON,
SUNBEAMS RUN AT UP TO 40 PSI ON THE ROCKER FEED. DEPENDING ON THE SELECTED POSITION ON THE METERING VALVE.THE BALL IS TO  HAS TWO FUNCTIONS, ONE, TO STOP THE OIL RUNNING BACK DOWN THE PIPE AND KEEP UP THE PRESSURE THUS GIVING FEED FROM START UP AND TWO, TO KEEP OIL IN THE ROCKER OIL CHAMBER. WELL THATS THE THEORY ANYWAY.
NICE TO KNOW YOU ARE STILL INTO SUNBEAMS, I USED TO SPEAK  WITH YOU SOME 6-7 YEARS AGO !
MIKUNI ON A SUNBEAM !  COME ON LEON. MY 90 IS QUICKER THAN IT'S BRAKES ON ITS AMAL.

Hello Beama I asked you before about my model 5 1930 and you tipped me about trevor davies who as you said had a register of pre 38 sunbeamers.
But I already tried to contact him before in may I think and tried again last week but again no response so that's why I asked you again about his e-mail
Did you have any contact lately with him?
I am just curious about the number of bikes of my type that are left
