Kim Pedersen Denmark ATTENTION

I bought a BSA Goldstar from Kim Pedersen.
The frame and motor numbers where from a 57 Goldstar.
Because I live 1200km away from the bike, I trust Kim Pedersen.
When I received the bike I discovered, that the Frame was probably from a B31 and the Crankcase from a B33.
It is a fraud. Somebody punched in the Goldstar numbers in to the wrong type of Frame and Crankcase!

I wanted to give back the bike, Kim Pedersen first agreed. But now he refuses!
So I have to sell the bike at a big loss because it is a replica!

He has other motorcycles. Maybe we wants to sell them. So watch out!

And the sad moral of the tale is, don't buy an expensive old bike without seeing it first.
Is he a dealer?

I could be fun to visit him with a few friends.
Drink some beer in his garden and wait for him to come home from work.

I have friends in Denmark, I always speak to them on Saturday, I will ask if anyone has heard of this guy, news of dodgy deals usually travel fast.

I think you may have Legal rights, if the bike doesn't match the description, also the stamping proves fraudulent activity at some point, what was written in the advert & where was it advertised?

I know the seller in Denmark, and I guarantee you, he is a honest man. I have also bought a bike from him, and everything was perfect. Your bike was sold from Ebay and I know for sure that the frame number and the engine number was described in the advert. And furthermore there was  Pictures showing the frame number asewell as the engine number. So the buyer (you) had any opportunity to check what you were buying.

If you feel cheated, perhaps you havenīt done your "homework" well enough...................

 He sold the Bike in the add as a Goldstar, but it is a Fake! The numbers are very well from a Goldstar, but the Frame and Motor are not! On the pictures it was not visible. When i confronted him with this, he was not surprised... Now he does not react any more. He shut down his mobile phone. Is that the way a" honest man" acts? Cheating fellow-motorcyclist?

Perhaps he bought it and found out it was a fake and sold it on.

Wetdog may be from a generation when people were honest, he has knocked me back before for telling tales.

Then again, as both buyer and seller are apparently unknown to "us" then any sort of valid judgement is impossible to make. "I know the seller, he's an honest man..." email doesn't really hack it, as the seller's mate could have sent it..
As in every B31-Goldie, TR5-5T type scenario, there really is no substitute for visually checking and rechecking if you're hoping to buy the genuine article.
