Selling in the USA
« on: November 05, 2014, 08:04:53 PM »
Hi all,

I'm in the possession of some classic motorcycles (BSA) and i'm willing to sell them. I'm located in Belgium but i would like to sell them online in the USA. I'm looking for some interesting websites where i can present my motorcycles. Any suggestions are welcome.

Regards

Why ? The yanks aren't that interested in pommy bikes. Then there is the pain of shipping. Are they Brough Superiors?

As Roger says, Forget the yanks, keep them in Europe, the Spaniards used to pay silly money for bikes, they didnīt make many 4 strokes and BSA singles were imported here in the 50s.
The British are too tight to pay todays prices because they remember how cheaply they could have bought them and if yours are European restorations they might not be to British specifications.
Either way get rid of them now before it all goes down the pan.

yeah i understand that and i'm aware of ebay to sell stuff. I was just thinking that there must be some websides specifically to sell classic/vintage motorcycles.

Coincidentally there is an online magazine called "Bike Sales" in Australia, there are plenty of old bikes advertised in that.

People look in all kinds of forums for old bikes looking for a fair priced machine, main steam specialist vintage bike mags seem to be the most expensive place to buy old bikes.

If you want to catch someone with more money than brains keep it on Ebay.
