hi all just putting engine back together b31 I take it there is no crankcase gasket as I did not remove any gasket material or should I make one

Hi Phil,
No gasket used on the crankcase joint, just a smear of your favourite "goo"

My favourite is Wellseal. Apply sparingly with a brush then leave for 10 - 15 minutes before assembling. Remove excess / clean brush with cellulose thinners (or acetone if you're posh).
