calling Ian Soady...

You and your Norton are the subject of a thread on IKBA, though there seems to be some dispute over who you actually are... ;)

Thanks for that, must have a look. I have to say I gave up on IKBA a couple of years ago as it got so ridiculous......

And don't forget "my ailments and the NHS"  "Is it raining where you are?" "look how much money my extended family made last week" " I've just bought another packet of crimp connectors and they have/haven't arrived" " I'm a leftie $%^ teacher and I'm proving all the stereotypes are true" and most famously "here's the latest fabulously expensive old classic I've just bought but woe is me as the back light doesn't work and I've no idea how to fix it". Sometimes someone will even mention motorbikes.

Since I posted this there's been a couple of threads about skin cancer, diabetes and heart conditions, with the usual suspects comparing war stories. Even worse are the never-ending "hope you get better soon mate" trite nonsense that inevitably follows. ::)

Nobody ever mentions hemorrhoids though. Surely some members must suffer.
Getting grumpy, but not as grumpy as mini-me.

Agree with all the above. But it is my bike being referred to (even if nobody knows who I am which is probably a good thing).

It's a shame as it used to have some useful stuff but as said the dross about cruises, illnesses etc just got too much. For me the final straw was some American who kept telling us how superior the US health care "system" was to the NHS.

BTW this is the clip referred to in the item. I'm in a minor competition with my brother to see whose bike (his is an Ajay Model 18) idles slower. I think I won.....

I am a bit of an authority on ikkyba as I've been banned at least three times. :o :o :o

The irritating septic tank though, is an authority on everything, and always has the right answer or solution to everything.

It was interesting once when there was lots of posters but now it the same old tedious mob.

But the  late Gelder bloke was far too woke and touchy on certain subjects, which is why I'm a 3 time winner!

now lemme get ma gun....

Yeah, he could be a bit precious at times. The look-at-me optician doesn't visit often now as, and I quote, "it's full of racists and old boys who live in the past".
More like he wasn't getting enough ooohs and aaahs over his latest purchase.  ;)

Nope, i think at times he pissed me off more than the septic.

Not his shiney bikes, but his sanctimonius bollox.

Known for it, and now he writes for CBG and RC where every article has photos of him gurning over one of his own bikes.
I saw a post on FaceAche recently where someone posted a query about a Velo, and the reply was "ask (the optician) , he's the Velo expert around here".
Funny, only a couple of years ago he couldn't abide all that "dodgy Brit sh*t"....
Funny how people change when £ signs are involved.
