Site Feedback / Re: Post counter problem
« on: February 01, 2011, 01:51:22 PM »
Hi Leon
thanks for the message.  Yes, I have seen this problem and am trying to get it fixed.  It's on my extraordinarily long list....!

And yes, SMF is fine, although could be better in preventing spammers registering.  They are the biggest pain...

Cheers

Just so you are all aware - some of you obviously aren't...  I sell a range of spares and accessories on this very website...!  Including a universal side stand.  The spares department is at http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/spares/index.php.  Please support a poor webmaster so my children can have a toy (to share) at Christmas time...

Hi Colossal
welcome to the forum.  If you are looking for parts or advice on this bike, drop me an email.  I've restored several of these and have a "reasonable" knowledge of them.  As Rex has said, the best source of info is the Rupert Ratio book.  It is by far the best book on these bikes -and of course you can buy it in the Books section of the Store on this very site!   ;).

They are nice bikes - although you're not going to set the world on fire with one.  But they are very good bikes to restore as they are simple, and parts are pretty easy to come by.  I'm sure you'll have fun...  Here's a pic of my latest restoration..

Hi Tom,
sorry, but this website and forum only deals with motorcycles rather than pedal cycles.  I doubt that you'll get much of a response here...

Identify these bikes! / What is this bike??
« on: July 17, 2010, 09:26:17 PM »
This picture has recently been posted in the site galleries and the owner of the picture (the son of the gentleman in the picture) would love to know more about the bike.  The picture was taken in Palestine.

Ideas anyone please?

Thanks

Here's how you attach a picture.  Reply to the post as you would normally, and at the bottom left of the screen you will  see an "Addditional Options" button.  Press this, and you will find the attachments option.

Thanks guys.  I had a BIG problem two days ago as the kind company who host this website decided to take it offline - as it was too busy for their liking.  SO I've had to transfer the whole site somewhere else - and I've had a few teething problems.  But I think they're OK now.
Cheers
